Reed Integration, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of four new employees, Michele King, Kelly Moses, Robin Smith, and Jake Verbeck to the company. The appointments follow the announcement of Reed Integration’s newest contract secured for schedule risk analyst in-situ support for NASA’s Independent Program Assessment Office (IPAO). Ms. King, Ms. Moses, and Ms. Smith will be tasked to perform on-site schedule risk analysis for various NASA programs/projects on behalf of IPAO to determine the impact of technical or programmatic risks and uncertainties that are uncovered and the resulting ability of the program/project to execute the schedule as planned.

Michele King, M.E. has been appointed Senior Risk Analyst. Ms. King has over seven years of experience in project management, schedule risk analysis and risk management with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering.

Kelly Moses, M.E., P.E. has been selected as a Principal Risk Analyst. As a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Ms. Moses has 20 years of experience working in the private and public sectors in the technical areas of Civil Engineering, Risk Management, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Project and Program Management. She holds both a Bachelor and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

Robin Smith, M.E. has been hired as Senior Risk Analyst. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University. She also has several years of experience in the areas of risk management and schedule risk analysis.

Jake Verbeck, PMP, SPHR has been appointed Program Manager and will be responsible for corporate training programs and oversight of various government contracts. Mr. Verbeck holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the College of William and Mary, is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Reed Integration, Inc., in support of The Joseph W. Luter, III School of Business and Leadership Academic Internship Program at Christopher Newport University, welcomes Faith Albers to a Marketing Intern position and Heather Salisbury for a Training Logistics Manager Intern position. Both students will join RII January 2010. The Academic Internship program is designed to serve as a supplemental source of learning and also enhance a student’s academic program and career objectives. By involving business students outside the traditional classroom, the program aims to:

Apply business administration theory and skills to a practical experience within an approved host agency.
Gain further knowledge of how businesses operate through experience within a specific assignment with a site agency supervisor acting as mentor.
Gain experience with the job search process and provide a foundation for future job placement.
Contribute to a student’s intellectual and ethical growth - by providing an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in the workplace, and to gain a practical perspective from which to reflect upon and evaluate classroom learning.

Reed Integration, Inc. just completed a 24-hour Fundamentals of Project Management course based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), 4th edition. This course employed unique study strategies to teach students the fundamentals of the project management discipline as defined in the PMBOK® and translate that learning into student success on the job for the 21 students in attendance from J-7, J-9, and J02R. Additional follow-on courses are being planned.
